It’s spring. If you are feeling inspired to declutter your home, how will you go about it?
Marie Kondo, a bestselling author from Japan who wrote The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, has some advice to get you thinking about your own process.
Keep only what makes you happy
She shares her own KonMari Method: Don’t hang onto things. Keep only what makes you happy.
She suggests you approach decluttering by organizing your stuff into categories like books, and clothing. Deal with one category at a time. Take a moment to look at each item, and consider if it makes you happy. If not, unburden yourself of it!
